Autumn—Lavender Season: Reflection & Release

Dear friends,

There is a crispness returning to the air. The mornings are cooler, the sun is setting a little earlier, and leaves that have been green all summer are beginning to show hints of the colors they will soon become.

Autumn reminds us that change and transition are part of a natural rhythm—one we are all connected to.

It is also a season I genuinely look forward to—the return of pumpkin chai lattes, visits to the farm to pick apples and choose pumpkins, cozy sweaters pulled from the closet, and familiar traditions shared with people I love. There is comfort in these simple seasonal rituals; together, they give autumn its own familiar warmth.

Autumn is also a season of gathering and harvest, of preparing and preserving. We gather what has grown, gather around tables with people we love, share familiar traditions and stories, and gather the moments we want to carry with us.

As the days grow shorter and the air becomes cooler, the pace begins to shift. The changing landscape draws our attention to the present, creating space for reflection & release—inviting us to notice what is happening around us, what is stirring within us, and what we want to carry forward.

Lavender carries this same quiet invitation. Its soft color and familiar fragrance seem to soften the edges of a day, reminding us to breathe a little deeper and settle into a slower rhythm.

At Maple Prairie, lavender represents autumn—Reflection & Release. It reminds us to recognize the meaning held within what we have gathered, while making space to release what we no longer need to carry forward.

May this season invite you to delight in its simple pleasures, give thanks for what has grown, and find quiet moments to notice what is changing within and around you.

May twinklings light your way this season,

April
